Full-Time Mixed Animal Veterinarian

Actively seeking leaders in veterinary medicine who want to practice mixed animal medicine in a small city with a strong agricultural rural presence. This clinic is set for change and is looking for veterinarians who want to help guide the development of a clinic without the immediate responsibilities of ownership. Be part of developing the team providing quality care in a beautiful, modern facility equipped to provide care to both small and large animal species. We are actively recruiting two veterinarians for this clinic.

Worried about on-call? Starting in January 2021, we will be leading the way with TeleTriage using a team of experienced RVT’s. That’s right, your after-hour calls will be triaged by RVT’s so that when you get a call, it’s only because emergency veterinary care is urgently needed. You’ll be given accurate signalment, history, and on-call fees will have already been discussed.

The area in and around Brooks is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with a large lake community ten minutes away, as well as being surrounded by a large progressive ranching community. Brooks a city with many amenities, activities, and is only an hour and three-quarter drive from the city of Calgary.

Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician

Progressive, courageous RVT needed to help us revamp and invigorate this practice.

We are seeking applicants with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, commitment to animal care, and the ability to work positively with clients as part of a growing team. The clinic is set for change. We want RVTs to help guide the development and growth of this practice in a beautiful, modern space well equipped to provide exceptional patient and client care.

The Opportunity:
Our Clinic Managers are the glue that holds us together. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating clinic performance, optimizing business growth, and developing innovative marketing strategies to showcase our special clinic. Under the guidance of the Regional Management team, the Clinic Manager also performs a wide range of administrative activities, leads business operations and maintenance, ensures profitability of the clinic, and drives the clinic’s mission of delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional client service. Our Clinic Managers are also key mentors for our staff, and as such should model an “owner” mentality by demonstrating a willingness to support all employees.

In addition to the above, duties for this position include:

  • Oversight of the clinic’s financials and budget;
  • Leading and coaching a growing team while fostering an environment of trust, respect, and enthusiasm;
  • Partnering with the Regional Operations team to develop objectives and policies to ensure efficient and profitable operations.

The Ideal Candidate:
As our ideal Candidate, you have:

  • 3-5 years of management experience, with a preference for those with a veterinary medicine background;
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the desire to make recommendations for change;
  • Direct experience leading teams of at least 5 employees;
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills;
  • A positive team-player attitude to enable our team to grow and flourish;
  • A love for diversity in the type of work you do;
  • The ability to lift 35+ pounds without assistance;
  • Strong organizational skills which allow you to stay focused and work under pressure.

Qualifications:
The position requires the completion of a high-school or post-secondary degree, leadership experience, and a love for people and animals. Previous industry experience or certification relative to the veterinary profession is considered an asset. Flexibility to work after hours and/or an occasional Saturday may be required.

Salary: $50,000-$60,000 per year
